At Little Playful BEARS, we believe in providing a nurturing and enriching environment that promotes the holistic development of each child. Our philosophy, encapsulated by the acronym B.E.A.R.S, guides our approach to child care and early childhood education.
BELONGING
Every child has a right to feel like they belong. In our child care center, we foster a sense of community and inclusivity. We believe that when children feel a sense of belonging, they are more likely to engage in learning, form positive relationships, and develop a strong sense of self. Our child care center is a community where everyone is welcomed and valued. We strive to create an environment where children feel safe, secure, and accepted for who they are.
EXPLORATION
We believe in the power of exploration. Children are naturally curious, and we encourage this curiosity by providing a variety of learning experiences. We provide a variety of hands-on activities and experiences for children to explore their environment, ask questions, and make discoveries. This hands-on, experiential learning approach helps children foster curiosity and develop critical thinking skills and a love of learning. Exploration is also grounded in the power of active learning. Children learn best when they are actively engaged in the learning process.
AFFECTION
Affection is at the heart of our philosophy. We believe that children thrive in an environment where they feel loved and cared for. Our staff is committed to showing kindness, warmth, and respect to every child. We believe that this positive and nurturing environment helps children feel safe and secure, which is essential for their emotional and social development. Respect is also a fundamental value in our child care center. We teach children to respect themselves, others, and the environment. We model respect in our interactions with children and encourage them to do the same.
RESILIENCE
We believe in fostering resilience in children. Life is full of challenges, and we want to help children develop the skills they need to face these challenges with confidence. We do this by providing a supportive environment where children can take risks, make mistakes, and learn from their experiences. We believe that this helps children develop resilience, which is a key skill for lifelong learning and success. With resilience, we also aim to empower children by providing them with the tools and opportunities to make decisions, solve problems, and express their thoughts and feelings. We believe that empowering children boosts their confidence and self-esteem and promotes independence and critical thinking.
SAFETY
Safety is our top priority. We strive to provide a safe and nurturing environment where children can learn and grow. We have strict safety protocols in place and our staff is trained in first aid and emergency procedures. We believe that when children feel safe, they are more likely to engage in learning and exploration.
